Google announced Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) at the Google I/O conference on 27 June 2012. Based on Linux kernel 3.0.31, Jelly Bean was an incremental update with the primary aim of improving the functionality and performance of the user interface. The performance improvement involved "Project Butter", which uses touch anticipation, triple buffering, extended vsync timing and a fixed frame rate of 60 fps to create a fluid and "buttery-smooth" UI.Android 4.1 Jelly Bean was released to the Android Open Source Project on 9 July 2012,and the Nexus 7 tablet, the first device to run Jelly Bean, was released on 13 July 2012.
Installation Guide
Step2: Place the Rom Zip file in your SD card ,Dont Place it in any folders
Step3: the Turn off,your Mobile
Step4: after your mobile swithced off,hold the volume up,home and power
botton altogether
Step5: Use the Volume keys up and down

Step6: Select apply update from sd card ,then press skin-1980 CWM.zip
Step7: In.CWM Recover,wipe data and cache
Step8: Select intsall zip from sd card
Step9: choose jellyblastGenED.signed.zip
Step10: choose "yes" (it will be installed)
Step11: After Rom has been installed,reboot Your phone
Step12: After Your Phone hase rebooted,You hace successfully updated your galaxy y to android 4.1 jelly bean blast.
